Warwick Thumb
£1,389.00
What can you say about the Thumb… it’s one of the most iconic of all fretless basses, immortalised by the late, great Jack Bruce.
These German ‘teambuilt’ Warwicks (from the German pro-series) deliver a world class playing and sounding instrument at a terrific price point. Warwick have responded positively to ongoing criticism that their German-built basses were simply unaffordable new to most players - not any more!
Warwick are, in our opinion, one of only a few basses that actually do have their own ‘signature’ sound which is big, fat and growly but always tight and crystal clear. They just sound so good in a live band context and always record beautifully. The Trans-Nirvana black (as opposed to solid black) allows the grain of the ovangkol body to come through. As always with a Thumb bass, the compact body is radiused/curved for maximum ergonomic benefit.
Comes complete with Warwick straplocks and user kit. Fitted with Warwick Black Label strings 45-135 gauge.
