Built in Asia but set up, checked and shipped from California, this is Musicmans ‘affordable’ take on the Classic Stingray. How does it differ from the standard Ray 34?. The neck and fingerboard are tinted and gloss lacquered, the layout is the classic 2 EQ version (no mid control) and the neck is 38mm/1.5″ wide across the nut (Jazz bass territory) as opposed to 43mm.
Nicely built and finished, very comfortable to play and powerful tones that are a decent approximation of the USA built Stingray.
