NS Design NXT4 Double Bass
£975.00
Ned Steinberger has applied his revolutionary techniques to the development of electric concert instruments - the Double Bass, Cello, Violin & Viola. The world over, Neds instruments are used by a growing number of renowned musicians including Tony Levin, Les Claypool, Doug Wimbish and Trevor Barry.
The NXT Double Bass opens up new horizons for the serious bass player looking for a serious instrument on a tight budget. It embodies world class design and flawless craftsmanship at an astonishingly affordable price. It’s entirely ‘roadworthy’ and is a reliable partner for the most demanding performance career.
The NXT delivers rich, full tone across the entire fingerboard. The bridge and truss rod are adjustable and allow for a low, fast action that will suit electric bass guitar players or for higher string settings that encourage the traditional acoustic player to ‘dig-in’ with gusto.
Pizzicato and arco techniques have almost unlimited expressive potential thanks to the twin pickup system and switching option. The arco mode is brilliant for a percussive attack and dynamic bowed response while the pizzicato mode makes for a smooth, sustained tone.
The NXTcan be strung with electric or traditional acoustic bass strings. Comes with a fully adjustable, self-supporting tripod stand and padded gig bag
