Musicman Stingray
£899.00
Great looking and playing Stingray with the harder-to-find gloss lacquered neck and fingerboard finish. The neck profile feels a little rounder and fuller than on some Stingrays - infact this feels very similar to a vintage P-Bass neck profile. Many current day Stingrays have Basswood bodies (cheaper than ash) to bring the prices down. Ash tends to be used on the trans-finish bodies, Basswood on the opaque colour bodies. Back in the day this one was built, all Stingray bodies were ash, regardless of finish.
The Stingray, visually and tonally, has cemented its place firmly in the pantheon of ‘all time great’ basses and rightly so.
