Handbuilt in California, USA… it’s a head, it’s a combo.. it’s BOTH! Either way, the tone is HUGE! 2 minutes with a screw driver and you can detach the head and use it as a separate with other cabs so we’re talking versatility here. The all-new ‘Scout’ cabinet provides powerful docking for the ‘Walkabout’ head and it houses a modern, lightweight custom Mesa 15″ Neo driver. The cab also boasts a unique down-firing 10″ Passive Radiator. - effectively a bass port in the underside of the cabinet This low-end down-force amplifies the cabinets volume to produce shocking hugeness which is why you simply don’t need any more than 300w of power from the amp.
Back to the ‘Walkabout’ head - A pure, 4 stage vacuum, all-tube preamp provides the tone, and tubes even drive the MOSFET power block giving the ‘Walkabout’ the same great ‘Simul-State’ performance as Mesa-Boogie’s bigger M-Pulse 600.
Mesa’s versatile ‘Player control network’ features a selectable 3 -point crossover (3k/4k/5k), premium horn attenuator and instant re-set horn protection.
This may not be the cheapest 1×15″ combo on the market but if it isn’t the best and the baddest then we want to know what is!
