Leo Fenders own magic reinterpretation of the classic ‘P/J’ configuration.
When Leo launched the SB-2 in 1982 it included his latest innovations in bridge and pickup design. If you hunger for something a bit meatier sounding than his earlier basses, then the SB-2 is just the ticket. It adopts a familiar body shape but is extra-sculpted for a sleeker look with improved balance.
The MFD pickups (Magnetic Field Design) deliver more ‘gusto’ without losing detail and finesse. The simple dual volume control setup allows you to strike any balance between the 2 pickups….back of the volume to dial-in a more vintage tone.
The neck is a slim, fast ‘C’ profile with modern 12″ radius fingerboard. Nut width is 38mm/1.5″ (Standard Jazz). These G&L Tribute basses are, quite simply sensational value for money!
