G&L have really nailed the P-Bass with the LB-100. They’ve evolved the basic P design, improving it in a number of significant areas: the body is a little smaller and lighter than a Fender Precision, Leo’s brilliant Saddle-Lock bridge is a huge step forward, as is the neck to body connection. But the real ‘gem’ here is the Paul Gagon-designed pickup. Who’s Paul Gagon? He’s a pickup guru who has spent years analysing vintage Fender pickups and what made them tonally special… he reckons that he finally managed to ‘bottle the lightning’ and recreate it with the G&L Alnico V split and single coil pickups. He may well have succeeded!
The bass comes with a detailed specification sheet, certificate signed by Phyllis Fender (Mrs Leo Fender), a truss rod adjustment guide and a comprehensive 10 year G&L warranty!
