We rate these Cort B4 & B5 models as being among the best modern active basses at this price point. They just play so well straight out of the box and are nice and light as well.
The 3 EQ active set-up ensures wide range of sounds plus there is the option to by-pass the pre-amp and play in passive mode. Cort have gone down the Warwick route of using wenge, as opposed to maple, for the neck which gives more emphasis on low-mids.
A terrific all-round package for a modest outlay and also available with a swamp ash body.
